NUTN Holding Three Creation Competition to Strengthen Students Creativity


NUTN implements the Ministry of Educations plan of deepening higher education, encourages students to practice, observes the surrounding living environment, finds out the pain points and puts forward solutions. The Innovation and Cultivation Center of the R&D Department of the university held the "Three Innovations Competition", which was divided into "Innovation and Creativity Group" and "Local Life Optimization Group". A total of 44 student teams signed up for the competition, including students from Kaohsiung University, Chang Rong University, Taipei University of Commerce, NUTN of Applied Science and Technology, etc. After the selection, the "Innovation and Creativity Group" won the first place and the "Local Life Optimization Group" by the student team of the Department of Electrical Engineering of NUTN.


The "Effective Drip", which is composed of the first electrical engineering student of NUTN in the "Innovation and Creativity Group", can accurately control the drip rate by monitoring the interpretation of myocardial ischemia through AI, and can be monitored in a much shorter time, which can effectively reduce the burden of medical manpower and master the patients condition. The second place is "Jie-Ge Puppet Show", which uses olive powder and coffee powder to make filtered coffee to offset the calcium loss caused by coffee; The third "internship outpost" matches internship enterprises and students through the platform, so that both sides can gain good internship experience and improve the quality of human resources.


In the local life optimization group, the first place is "Jiali Yanping Community, the land of sugar", which is organized by students of the Department of Economics and Management of NUTN. Through digital marketing, people can experience the community and buy products that support the local community. The second place, "Rolly studio", through avocado cooking and DIY making handmade soap, mosquito-proof city, flower utensil, book circle or wreath, etc., enhances the understanding of the local community; And the third "Happy Small Farmers", through the game-oriented design, allows people to experience the fun of planting crops, and also encourages farmers to cultivate and reduce fallow areas.


The Innovation and Cultivation Center of the R&D Department of NUTN indicated that in order to encourage students to show more innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and creation, it not only continuously offered relevant credit courses related to innovative ideas, but also held several workshops, including design thinking, proposal presentation, accurate oral expression of proposals, winning skills of proposal plans, etc., which gradually guided students creativity to concretize, and introduced the thinking of the development of business model and money flow, hoping to cultivate the ability to solve problems through study and competition, and to coach the winning team.
