Great results in Teacher Qualification Examinations This Year
During July of 2021, MOE conducted the teacher qualification examinations for upper secondary and kindergarten school teachers. The results were published on August 23rd. Upholding a century-old tradition in teachers training at the National University of Tainan, this years students are very bright, and have achieved a passing rate of 87%. Students in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Department of Visual Arts and Design, Department of Counseling and Guidance, Department of Drama Creation and Application, and Department of Culture and Natural Resources all achieved a remarkable passing rate of 100%.
The National University of Tainan has always been a cradle for the southern regions elementary school education, special education, early childhood education, and secondary school education teacher training, and adheres to good traditions in bringing up outstanding teachers. In addition to the solid teachers training courses, each year a variety of research activities are held including the winter break "Teachers Qualification Test Cram Course" with the goal of strengthening students abilities to answer questions through mock examinations and specific topical review. From time to time the National University of Tainan invites alumni who have passed the examinations to return to the school and share their experiences, like their study schedules, course exam preparation, and key points. The teachers are also encouraged to organize teachers exam study clubs, as well as to study alongside one another to take advantage of peer learning and to grow sharper together.
The University of Tainans President Huang Hsiu-Shuang expressed the following in response to the new 2017 teachers training regulation "first examination, then internship." The University of Tainans teachers training center actively plans relevant courses, strengthens teachers professional abilities, as well as conducts a variety of teaching practice and teachers examination study activities. The school anticipates that every student will smoothly pass their qualification exams upon graduation, and on their future path they will pass on a good heritage of teaching and become a long-term influence on future education.
