National University of Tainan (NUTN) and Kaohsiung Software Park jointly handle student entrepreneurship training courses
The Innovation Incubation Center of the Office of R&D, NUTN implemented Ministry of Education colleges and universities innovation and entrepreneurship education promotion program (EC-SOS), working together with 6 companies in Kaohsiung Software Park, TAIWAN HIPOINT CORPORATION, KING KIT TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., MAKER WISDOM CORP., PUMPKIN STUDID,LTD., WEIDESON Technology Co., Ltd., and ENOBORDER CO., LTD., to handle student entrepreneurship training courses during the winter vacation. Wun-lin Yang (Vice Principal of NUTN) and professors from NUTN went to Kaohsiung Software Park on February 1st to present a certificate of appreciation for corporate mentors on behalf of the school and thank the company for guidance and cultivation of future talents.
Tai-an Lin (Director of Kaohsiung Software Park) said that in recent years, in order to meet the talent needs of entrants and improve the return services of local students, relevant employment matchmaking meetings have been actively held to provide the campus vacancy needs related to college students in the southern region. It is hoped to recruit excellent talents to join Kaohsiung Software Park. This internship course not only allows NUTN students to communicate with the owners, but also hopes that after the internship exchanges, they could join the company or become a new force for the third party company in the future, making the development of Kaohsiung Software Park more and more prosperous, and becoming the talent cultivation base for future southern digital transformation.
Wun-lin Yang (Vice Principal of NUTN) stated that the ultimate goal of the EC-SOS program is to hope that future students could increase their success rate when starting a business. Therefore, the school offers entrepreneurship-related credit courses on campus and also conducts multiple entrepreneurship workshops, such as innovation, proposal design, industry and business model analysis, business proposal writing, and financial statement analysis, etc., through the guidance and practice of professional teachers, assisting students to gradually develop and accumulate the knowledge and skills needed for future entrepreneurship, and strengthening the functions of future entrepreneurship and employment , reducing the gap between learning and applying. It is thankful to Kaohsiung Software Park and vendors for providing student with internship opportunities, increasing students practical experience, and improving communication, team leadership, and strategic planning capabilities. It is hoped that students would integrate what they have learned in the class with the internship and hence to improve their future workplace competitiveness and entrepreneurial potential.
