臺南大學EMBA班 創新務實
Innovative and Pragmatic NUTN EMBA Program
Hsien Che Lai (New CEO of NUTN EMBA Program) would make the best of the teaching resources of Visual Arts and Design, carrying on the original intention of guiding students into cross-field knowledge exploration, and continued the courses, “Design and Creative Management” and “Arts Marketing and Creative Industry”.
Started from September 2015, there has been the sixth of NUTN EMBA Program, despite of the late start comparing to other domestic EMBA programs, improvement has been made every year, to assist students’ practical growth as the main development goal, with the full support of Tsung Hsien Huang (Principal of NUTN) and I Chen Lin (Dean of School of Management), NUTN EMBA program keeps moving forward and makes its mark.
Hsien Che Lai (New CEO of NUTN EMBA Program) indicated, although NUTN EMBA Program is only “six years old”, it is easier to jump out of the frame of traditional Management schools, relevant courses can be arranged quickly in response to the students needs for mastering emerging technologies and insights into practice, for instance, the course, “Lecture of Negotiation strategy and Practice” was added in response to students’ advice two years ago. Occasionally, well-known enterprises would be invited as workshops to design interesting courses.
There are currently 11 credits of courses taught by teachers in NUTN EMBA program (about a quarters of total credits), which are “Four-Semester Lecture of Enterprises Practice”, “Human Resource Management”, ”Lecture of Negotiation strategy and Practice”, and “Design and Creative Management”. This year, the school cooperated with CPC Training Center, having Industry-University Cooperation, started with an in-person lecture given by CPC senior supervisor, ”Lecture of Negotiation strategy and Practice”, and the lecture was well received by students.
For many years, well-known speakers in the northern part of the Combination of Industry, Official and University have not been willing to pass on knowledge in Tainan. In order to smooth the gap in management knowledge between the North and the South, nationally renowned speakers will be invited to the school to communicate with students on a regular basis in the "CEO Lecture Hall" planned by Professor Yung-Chang Hsiao (Deputy Chief Executive) in every future semester.
In the past, the students felt deeply that the NUTN EMBA program was very warm, there was little utilitarian among them, and they developed "Not only learning from the teacher, but also from the classmates". Also, the young full-time faculty team is approachable and easy going for students. The various extracurricular activities held are aimed at inter-term exchanges and parent-child participation. At the end of this year, Changhua Normal University of Education Entrepreneurship will also be invited to help out students businesses and build cross-school connections.
